鎳鎘電池

－鎳鎘電池可重複500次以上的充放電，經濟耐用。
－內阻小，可快速充電，又可為負載提供大電流，而且放電時電壓變化很小，是一種非常理想的直流供電電池。

鎳鎘電池 Nickel-Cadmium Battery

The nickel-cadmium (NiCd) battery is another common secondary battery that is suited for low-temperature conditions with a long shelf life. However, the nickel-cadmium batteries are more expensive and their capacity in terms of watt-hours per kilogram is less than that of the nickel-zinc rechargeable batteries.

鎳鎘 (NiCd) 電池是另一種常見的二次電池, 適用于低溫條件, 具有很長的儲藏壽命。然而, 鎳鎘電池成本更高, 其每公斤瓦特小時的容量低於鎳鋅可充電電池。

 

負極cathode (reduction):

Cd+2OH- → Cd(OH)2+2e-

充電：Cd(OH)2+2e- → Cd+2OH

正極anode (oxidation):

2e-+NiO2+2H2O → Ni(OH)2+2OH-

充電：Ni(OH)2+2OH- → 2e-+NiO2+2H2O

全反應式overall: 

放電：Cd+NiO2+2H2O → Cd(OH)2+Ni(OH)2

充電：Cd(OH)2+Ni(OH)2 → Cd+NiO2+2H2O
